We are really chuffed to announce that we are now supporting local athlete, Dan Greaves, as he attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Leicestershire-born Dan Greaves trains locally at the Charnwood Athletics Club in Loughborough. He has been discus throwing since the age of 13 and, at 28, has already achieved the following; new record holder at the 2011 BT Paralympic World Cup, set a new record and won gold at the 2011 Paralympic World Cup and won bronze at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

“I’m really grateful to Sytner Leicester and MINI for their support”, said Dan. “It’s tough trying to qualify for a Paralympic place and it’s a big help knowing that they are behind me, helping to raise funds and awareness. It’s also fantastic having a brand new car from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There’s a lot of travelling to heats, competitions and promotional events, so it’s great being able to arrive there in style.”
